Going Deep: The Art of Adjusting Asana in the Ashtanga Practice

Asana means comfortable seat, but why is it so damn uncomfortable? The Mysore practice is a sequence of Asanas, each one unlocking the next. In order to relax into the asana sometimes we need to go beyond what we believe our bodies are capable of. This allows us to find a deeper meaning and that sweet spot where you can have a cup of tea while remaining twisted like a pretzel. 
In this workshop we will address adjustments in the primary series that take our practice deeper, unlocking our potential. Applicable to students of all levels, this workshop will be part self-adjustment; to understand where we can take the practice on our own, and part interactive; where students can work together taking the practice deeper.
